About

My art world began when I was five years old - my grandmother gave me my first set of oils. That started my love of paint.

I do not focus on one particular style or subject. I paint and draw abstracts, still lives, figures, and landscapes - all are based on a solid knowledge of art concepts learned in various schools and classes. I continue to learn by pushing myself to knock down boundaries. My work is always changing as I refuse to plagiarize myself.

Whether I start with an automatic drawing, a color wash, a grid, or merely an impulse; each work has its own history of building up and tearing down - painted on and scratched away. I continue this process until the piece proves its merit due to its unique existentialism. These paintings manifest my emotional reaction to beauty and disaster; love and detachment; nature and architecture. Each piece is a fresh new love from my soul.
